Dual Oceans is designing and building autonomous surface vehicles to carry and test ocean payloads.
The first vehicle, Stage 0, is a prototype designed to carry customizable payloads on open water. Launch is anticipated before the end of 2026.
What is being built
Stage 0 is a small uncrewed surface vehicle, designed to carry a payload out onto open water and send its data back while it runs. The first payloads are a camera, data logging sensors for conductivity, temperature, and more, and an echosounder. It is an introductory step, intended to incrementally improve the vehicle's capabilities and advance marine hardware in the Gulf of Maine and beyond.
Build status
Design and prototype testing of the core systems is under way. The build phases target the end of 2026.
